Katie is the first generation daughter of imagrant parents. Being raised by parents that understand the importance of not giving up on your dreams, Kate began dancing at 15 years old. Her hard work and dedication has allowed her to accelerate her talents and techniques.

 

She began training to become a teacher in 2019 and is continuing her education under the guidance of Ms Belvery. In 2021 she began teaching. 

 

Katie’s understanding of the struggles that beginner endure and her highly patient nature make her an excellent instructor for all ages. Katie’s accredits dance for helping her to overcome great adversities in her teenage years. Her love for dance, gymnastics and the performance arts makes it not just a hobby or a sport, but truly a part of Katie’s soul.

 

For Katie teaching gives her purpose. She loves seeing her students find meaning in their art and grow both creatively and as people. Katie is continuing her mentorship with Ms Belvery, training in all aspects of instruction and studio life. We are very pleased and proud to have Katie on our staff and a part of the NYRDA family.
